Organic food at O Cafe, Empire Shopping Gallery

When it comes to food hunting, dad never fails to discover new eateries, this time we headed to O Cafe which is located in the newly opened Empire Shopping Gallery in Subang Jaya. O cafe is a restaurant which serve organic vegetarian food with a modern touch.

#Diluted Blood for a blood thirsty vampire
Nah, its only beetroot juice with lime.

#Dinner is served but I'm too absorb in taking pictures XD

#Honey and sesame was drizzle on the fried mushroom,
the taste was really addictive as the crispiness of the mushroom
blend in extremely well with their mayonnaise.
It was a match made in heaven.
I feel so in love right now.

 #Satisfied customer =D
The portion was quite huge and by the time im done with my food,
I got no more space for dessert T-T
Should have shared the food with mom.

Overall, it was a gastronomic experience, let the pictures speak by itself. Although it was not my first time trying vegetarian food, the taste conquered my taste buds and presentation for the dishes were absolutely above average. Not to mention that, the service was good as I felt their sincerity and warmness in them, I will definitely go back there again.

Stereotype

Every now and then I will still encounter some rather amusing/annoying remarks. If I speak English that means I'm banana, or if I speak Mandarin means my English must be weak. what crap is that? hello, we human beings can be bilingual or multilingual okay? Cant believe this is still happening to me, arghhhh..*rolled eyes* *clutch fist*

Allow me to briefly introduce my education background, I went to Chinese primary and secondary school and even pursued a degree in Chinese Studies. Yea right, as if I'm so obsessed with the language. Hence, after being in such surrounding for so long I think it's fair enough for me to say a word or so after being misinterpreted by most people.

Case 1:Kiasu
To be honest, during my school days, my teachers set very high expectation for us, so everyone become very competitive because nobody wanna get the last placing in class. It's worse than bringing shame to your family. The result will be pinned at the notice board and everyone including parents will be able to see the grades. If your result is good, of course you'll receive lotsa praises, but if your result/placing dropped your stress level will build up and you'll hate school. Trust me I have been through that and it's no fun at all.

Case 2:Math must be good so must be every calculative and kiam siap
Majority of them are good in math but there are also exception like me, my math suck like ehem*cough*, and my add math is horrible TT3TT. Not interested in math after Form 3 and it took me longer to solve a math question than writing a 300 words essay.
About the stinginess matter, I think it differs according to one's upbringing. I'm lucky that my circle of friends belongs in the generous group than those awfully kiamsiap group. However if your friend is calculative and calculates every single cent with you then it better to keep a distance from them. Imagine your friend calling out your name in public asking you when you gonna return his/her 10/20/50 cents...LMAO...If this happens to me I gonna put a paper bag over my head, ultra embarrassing moment.

Case3: Poor proficiency in English
Yalah hor like ebiwan of aus speek manglish rojak pasar language until siasui all chinese people kaokaolat, we rojak together presentpastperfect tense macam vee diden attended ingrish kerass biifor.

My goodness, studying in a Chinese medium school does not stop us from learning proper English, Fyi, we know the importance of English and there are something called language centres where we can learn and improve our English. So stop being that shallow minded. If you dont know what is that then kindly google it.

Not long ago my article was published at my Uni's website and I had let something out of my chest after holding thus long.
#For full article click the link below.

It was my sweet revenge and I got the last laughs when my friend told me that my article was printed out and pasted on the uni's notice board alongside with the President's message. It was totally unexpected and I was over the moon. Recalling receiving questionnaire from students of other courses conducting survey regarding our English proficiency level, it is so unprofessional to do so. Our class were conducted in Mandarin but English elective subject were also in our syllabus. Regretted that I did not conduct survey on the Chinese proficiency level. *smack forehead*

  #Spotted me?
The only girl, the rose among the torn.

Time has changed and not everyone from Chinese medium school speak bad English nor those from other medium school speak perfect English, vice versa. Hence, never underestimate anyone.
I'm done for now, bye~

Snowflakes to chill

Last Monday I was down with sore throat, flu and slight cough.
Im glad that I fall sick sick after the concert and my duty, if not things will be even worst.
After informing my boss that I was unwell, I went to our panel doctor and he gave 1 day MC, guess my body really needed rest. Thus, i took medicine and slept through the day. Sleeping is the best remedy.

#I hate medication especially cough mixture,
not to mention about the taste,
i would rather swallow bitter gourd juice than the mixture.
ewwww...

I went back to work on Tuesday after I was feeling better.I told myself not to shout at my students with my sexy voice husky voice, but it's rather hard to do so. Teenagers are a group of people who cant sit still, I can totally understand that XD

From time to time, I will be craving for snowflakes, perhaps the weather is too hot and I need something cold to chill me down or it's just irresistible addictive. =D Without second thought, I headed to snowflakes after work. The place was crowded as usual, after placing our order, the UFO took longer time to blink as they were busy preparing 10 bowls of take away for the customer who came before us.

#Grass Jelly series, Snowflakes
As you can see from the picture,
the portion was larger than usual,
guess it was to compensate the longer waiting time. yay ^^
my stomach was bloated and i was breathing ice
after I finished the entire bowl.

Food therapy always works for me.

Impossible is possible

When I was told that my colleague and I were in charge of the Chinese Fan Dance, I pushed my panic button.  Why me? Nooooooooooooo.. The voice was screaming inside my heart. Dancing seems like an impossible and unreachable task for me. For those who know me well, breaking planks and sparing seemed to be an easier task for me. Fyi, the performance was two weeks away,  do I even have enough time to teach?

With zero knowledge in dancing, I searched high and low in youtube looking for suitable dance moves to master within 2 weeks. I can settle with something presentable and easy.
My friends said it's rather impossible for me to teach dancing as I used to spar my ass off during tkd practice. Apart from our hectic timetable, we squeezed every bits of free time to supervise our students' progress.

After the first full dressed rehearsal, im flattered when i received positive comments from my colleague,
I felt the burden on my shoulder was slightly lighter. On that concert night, my girls were really stressed out as they were worried they wont be able to maintain the same standard==. I hugged them before they went on stage.Although we were exhausted but when i saw camera flashes while i was recording their dance routine~I knew they nailed it. Big wide smile ^_______________^

Thinking of carrying their costume from the 8th floor in Kuen Cheng School and going all the way to Petaling Street to get their dancing fan is totally worth it now.
Thanks to my colleagues Ms Wan and Ms Foh, our girls wouldn't make it without both of you, our teamwork rules~

Thanks to my students who were willing to sacrify their time to practice, you all made us proud from the very first moment you all performed on stage~

Here is the video
enjoy =D

The valuable lesson for this story is if there is a will, there will be a way.
It's never too late to start practicing for whatever thing if there are hard work, commitment and determination involved.
=The End=

Gonna continue doing my exam papers TT3TT

0807 Sedaya Night 2011

Sedaya night was held a day before the "Bersih" rally, as you know that there were road blocks hence the traffic was super duper jam and I was stuck in one of the Subang Jaya roundabout for at least 45 minutes. It's so near yet so far, at one point i felt like walking was faster than driving. I felt frustrated to the max because i was in my car and the traffic remained stagnant for so long!!! But my goodness, i was only 10-15 minutes late, where some of the teachers were stuck in the jam for 2-3 hours T.T I was lucky compared to them, I shall stop complaining from now on.

#My outfit for the night~

#Put on falsies and did some light make up for the occasion

Bonjour,
We headed for Songkhla after breakfast=D
I think most of us had a good night rest.
However, our gossip session was until late night,

#Group photo with the mermaid and we blend in pretty well,
there were quite a number of people waiting for their turn to take pic with the well known mermaid,
however we still managed to get a spot after Ariza quickly climbed up when the people in front of us had finished taking theirs.

#Jump high and reach for the stars,

#Songkhla ice blended in my hand

#Last but not least, shopping spree and shop till we cant walk.We went to the local bazaar and spent half a day there, we used mandarinhokkiencantoneseenglishthai whatever language we had learn to bargain for a better price. Mark my words, language is very important for shopping. I bought a Polo tee for dad,
some nuts for my mom, 2 bags for myself, Tshirts for my cousin, key chains for friends. There's something for everyone.^.^v

#Pocky is my Love and my childhood favourite, i share a special feeling for pocky as my parents never fail to give me one packet of pocky to keep me quiet whenever they took me for movie. So this really
reminds me of my childhood.

P/s: In case there are extra Thai Baht in hand during the last day of your stay and you dont know how to spend it, go to your nearest 7/11 or any convenience stall and grab some food items. You will be amazed with assorted biscuits, beverages, it's better to buy food stuff than to buy other souvenirs that will come to a waste at the end.

=THE END=
Hope you all enjoy reading this post =D
Peace out
